Forced Entry Tactical Training was honored to have been invited to the 25th Anniversary of the International SWAT Round-Up to conduct three hours of range training on the topic of Explosive Breaching.    This event has been run each year by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and is clearly the largest and most recognized SWAT competition in the world.  This is always a great event, not only for the challenging competition, but also the ability for Tactical Officers from around the world to share valuable information during the morning classes.

Both Gavin Vesp (FETT – Owner / Director of Training) and Brad Voyles (Chief Instructor) had the opportunity to compete in this event in 2004 and felt very honored to be asked back as instructors for the 2007 Round-Up.

Forced Entry Tactical Training would like to take this opportunity to thank the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for putting on another fantastic Round-up and allowing FETT USA to be part of it.  We would like to extend a special thanks to; EOD Commander Stewart Blackton, Deputy Kelly Boaz, Deputy James McClure, Deputy Joseph Littlejohn, Deputy Edward “Clay” McCullough, Cpl. Mike Hopkins and Cpl. Joe Billitier.   These men are attached to the Orange County Bomb Squad and are a true credit to their agency.  Forced Entry sincerely appreciated their assistance and professionalism.

Forced Entry would also like to thank Beverly Thornton with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.  Bev is clearly one of the main organizational driving forces behind the Round-up and has been a huge supporter of Forced Entry.  The Round-up would truly not be the same without her presence.

Thanks again Orange County Sheriff’s Office and best of luck with the 2008 Round-up.
